I think “detoxing” is kind of an ugly word (too many weird diet associations), but I’ve decided that it’s time for me to do a little internal spring cleaning. I know it’s not spring yet, but I am in great need of a fresh start. I’ve been feeling a little on the bloated and sluggish side, and my knee has been giving me problems again. Since reduced inflammation is one of the main detoxification benefits that I’m after, a large focus will be removing all inflammation triggering foods from my diet for a period of time. Lucky for me, Greg is on board too.
What we’re cutting out:
- Refined Sugar
- Artificial Sweeteners
What we’re cutting back on significantly:
What we’ll be eating:
- Loads of vegetables
- Some gluten-free whole grains
- Water galore
5-7 days of extra clean eating will commence tomorrow, 1/25.
